The modern classic or "spirit of tradition" design has rightfully become popular over the last several years. A yacht with long ends, low freeboard, and a sweeping sheer will always be attractive; and when all the subtle elements are properly integrated will be stunning.

Modern construction materials and techniques make the hull and deck light in weight, which increases the ballast ratio. Long ended hulls maintain a nearly constant displacement/length ratio through a variety of loading conditions, so speed potential can actually increase as the tanks fill and stores are carried aboard.  Wetted surface is low for excellent speed in light air. The bow is carefully designed to avoid the bluff waterlines that can happen with a poorly designed overhanging bow so when the breeze picks up her crew will be treated to an exhilarating sail.

The arrangement has the main saloon and navigation station takes full advantage of the panoramic views in the raised pilothouse by being located completely within it. The owner's stateroom is located forward of the full beam galley. There are ample sea berths for the off watch in the pilothouse and aft guest cabins.

A flush foredeck leads to a well-proportioned raised pilothouse, comfortable and ergonomic cockpit, and aft deck with a gravity operated boarding platform emrging from the transom. Elegant and simple styling compliments the hull without merely copying the structures that have been seen on classic yachts for the past 100 years.
